A masked litle boy,  with a  cow head on his shoulder, performs during the celebration of an ancient traditional carnival. Ituren (Basque Country). February 1, 2016. The “Joaldunak” (“those who play the bell”) is a character that takes part in the carnival at the villages of Ituren and Zubieta carrying sheep furs and big cowbells tied to their backs to wake up the earth, looking for a good new year, a good harvest and to keep away the bad spirits.  (Gari Garaialde / BostokPhoto)
