As other routes they used to travel from Africa to Europe where getting harder, more and more people decided to try crossing the border in Irun, after crossing the Spanish State from south to north. When the number of people traveling through Hendaye increased, French administration tightened border surveillance and closed their way.

A group of volunteers created a Host Network was with the aim of helping this group of people who wanted to continue their journey and inform about the public services they are entitled to and the ways to cross the border avoiding police checkpoints.

To do so, and above all, to denounce border policies, to demand the abolition of rules and legislation against migrants and to claim that everyone has the right to free circulation.

Created at the end of July 2018, this group has provided shelter and assistance for those who wanted to do their way looking for some future.
