Farmer’s Day

info

The hands of the farmers are hardened by the work they do outdoors; by the cold of winter, autumn rainfalls and summer heat…

The hands of the farmers are used to work the land, to care for their children, holding scythes, hoes and axes, to guide animals, pick fruit, plant vegetables and work tirelessly.

But those who work must rest sometimes. Get cleaned, embellished, treated and moved to the background, waiting for the moment they will be required to work again.

Some of these hands may not be farmer’s hands, but all of them were pictured on July 1st 2016, in Irun on the celebration of the day of the farmers. The photos were taken while people were watching shows organised for the farmers, such as rural sport tests and Frisian cow championships.
